tapeworm infection as a result of eating raw fish is a known cause of B12 deficiency - though more familiar to cultures that consume large amounts of fish such as nordic countries.

I saw that headline on some website I was visiting and assumed it was normal clickbait nonsense.

It's actually quite good.

I have a friend who worked at a 5 star hotel in Rome . She became very ill , though not as unwell as the patient in the video. Her doctor found she had practically no B12 . She ate her favourite food every day at the hotel . It was smoked salmon . If improperly smoked ,the fish tape worm and its eggs are not destroyed . She was thoroughly infested . Treatment was successful . She says she still eats smoked salmon , but always freezes it first .

Brave I would never touch it again. I remember infact a grateful patient left a whole smoked salmon for the staff at chrisumas on the ward. I'd never had salmon before that wasnt out of a tin.

I felt disappointed as I didnt like the look or smell so didnt get it.

Several got ill.

I wish I did like more fish but it's one thing that can instantly give nausea?like over ripe bananas .

That video from how much I could view was good.

None but the brave, wedgewood ! Don't think I'd be too keen myself.

Yes I agree with fbirder - not a video I'd have bothered to watch, but glad you brought it to our attention, lownskater52 . 5-day-old "gas-station sushi": never been that hungry !
