I recently completed 5 injections of b12 and my lab results after 10 days came in as more than 2000. Is this a sign of worry or will it go down . I am experiencing ringing in the ear due to this and also nerve twitching . Is this possible ? How long does it take for the levels to drop ?

B12 more than 2000
Totally normal to have B12 levels that are too high to measure. That's why all the experts say there is no point at all in measuring them after injections have started.
Doesn't stop idiot doctors though.
My doctor says he doesn't like to see my B12 levels drop below 1000. He takes my blood once a year during my physical, not just to see where my B12 levels are. Too much B12 can't hurt you. The twitching you are feeling is probably just your nerves healing. Things calm down after a while.
I have ringing in my ear after my 6 loading injections too! Has yours calmed down at all? I had my injections over a month ago now and the ringing is just getting worse :/
If I put my attention to the ringing then I will possibly feel it .... it gets a little bit less at times but it’s still there....
@Ginacece by any chance has the ringing in your ears stopped or still going on. Mine still continue so just asking around
No it’s still there, I think it’s an after effect of having so many loading dose injections because I’ve never experienced ear problems before this. I’m hoping it goes as the loading doses wear off. Because people are saying tinnitus is caused by b12 deficiency I don’t know whether to have more injections to try and get rid of it or, if mine is caused by the injections, I don’t know if having more will just make it worse. :/
In a survey carried out by the Pernicious Anaemia Society, 34% of respondents listed experiencing tinnitus. The list of symptoms and related conditions are set out in Martyn Hooper's book and on the PAS website. Tinnitus is listed as a neurological symptom. Nerve twitching is a symptom of B12 deficiency and is more obviously neurological damage.
Those with neurological symptoms should be treated differently: every other day injections until no further improvement can be had, then injections every 2 months. See NICE guidelines for this.
People being treated for B12 deficiency often find that their symptoms get worse or increase before they improve.
