I need help interpreting bloodwork. Low MCHC concerns me. Thank you for any advice. My doctor is away and I don't want to worry in the meantime. Thanks
I'm new here I have low MCHC (31.8) a... - Pernicious Anaemi...
I'm new here I have low MCHC (31.8) and low b12, High Creatine (1.0) , Low Globulin (2.3). Are these numbers concerning? Thx for any advice
You really need to talk to the medical professional that ordered the tests or, if they were private, the lab that provided them.
Interpretting single test results out of context can be misleading - high creatinine could be the result of the a B12 deficiency but it can also indiciate other things so need an MMA result to check that - and how out of range is also a factor.
It is also difficult to interpret test results without the reference ranges. Low in range for B12 may be a problem. Below range is almost certainly a problem.

The MCHC isn't a very helpful indicator of anything these days, with modern technology! Some labs don't even bother reporting it now, because there are far more useful bits of data in a Full Blood Count. If you're really worried it would be better to post the full panel of figures with the reference ranges, as then it would be far easier to interpret.
If the only thing is the borderline low MCHC then don't worry, and wait to discuss it with your doctor.
Good luck.
