Tibial Nerve Stimulation.

Hi all, hope everyone is keeping safe.

This is not really a PA issue. It is back damage.

I am due to start a 6 week course of Percutaneous Tibial nerve stimulation to try to stimulate my bladder incontinence.

I damaged my lower spine in an accident 25yrs ago, and have suffered with sciatica ever since. I damaged the 4bottom vertebrae and trapped the sciatic nerve.

I have told the clinic about this and hopefully they source medical records. I am just worried about anything affecting my spine.

Has anyone any experience of this procedure?

Any information.would be gratefully received. Thank you.

They stick the needle into your ankle, so nowhere near the spine. It sounds as harmless as any other form of electroacupuncture, and more effective than most.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

Yes, I know they put the needle in the ankle, it it stimulates the nerve in the base of the spine, which stimulates the bladder, something's that.

I was worried because of damage to my spine, and what effect this would have.

Thank you again for replying.
