Frequent B12 injections

I have been injecting EOD due to neuro symptoms. I’ve been switching between two spots but feel that injections are getting a bit more painful. For those that inject ED or EOD do you switch area of injections frequently(legs, arm, hips)? Currently injecting intermittently on the hips (upper glute). Thx!

Hiya!

I've been using my thighs every day for years and, while I aim to alternate, I just use whichever one "volunteers" today: if one makes a fuss, and sometimes it does, then usually the other one is OK!

Although needles smaller than 23G are not recommended, now my motor skills have improved I find the finer 26G needles more comfortable.

When I was first injecting I couldn't feel my legs and so all was fine but as I got better the nerves started "waking up" and were ultra sensitive for a while so my jabs did hurt a bit then... But it was so good to be getting better, I didn't care too much! As the nerves healed they settled down and rarely play me up now. As I said, if they do I just find somewhere else!

If your nerves have healed properly and all your other symptoms have gone, you might be able to go miss 2 days between jabs.

Thank you Denis! I may try thigh injections in the near future. I found them painful the first time so switched to hip injections.

Or try subcutaneous to alternate? I have both IM and sc .

Didn’t consider subcutaneous before. Do these injections absorb b12 just as well as intramuscular?

Apparently so and lots of people use SC, although I haven't.

For me, the only bit that might complain is my surface skin so I don't think it would make any difference but we're all different so could be worth a try?
