Yesterday: a day to forget

It started with running a bath and forgetting it- which is quite usual for me, except that it had clearly been running for hours ! Well, no need to wash the floor now.

Next, in preparation for delivery of new orders for B12 and for sharps etc, I decided to make some room for them while waiting - only to discover 100 vials I didn't know I had -and similar story with syringes, needles, the lot. Obviously forgotten completely about both recent orders and deliveries ! Luckily, good dates on B12 still.

Giving directions later - a lift in to work to pick up a small box that represents 17 years of being there: and managed to get us lost !!

>sigh<

It’s not fun is it? But hey, you stocked up AND cut down on the cleaning in one day 😊

Oh dear. They say things come in threes . Hope that's it now for a while.

Early to bed . Write on your calendar how much b12 you have. Stay in the bathroom whilst running your bath.

I can take one wrong turn and be lost. Not a nice feeling .

Perhaps you were chatting??

Hope your week improves.

I'm on my fourth change if clothes today as been so clumsy Take care🙃

Sometimes I write so many things down in so many places- calendar, diary, small notebook, post-its -that I might as well not bother, as I can never find what I want ...

Good thing I'm not working !

Today was a better day. Tomorrow is looking promising.

Take care too, Nackapan !

I apologise for going off topic, but...

It could have been worse. My sister [lives on her own] fell asleep whilst running a bath. It overflowed. She drained it, and had to go to work [that sort of a job]. Came home late, turned the lights on, blew the electrics but didn't get electrocuted. Wallpaper peeling, carpet floating. Water in the cellar. Called an electrician and he discovered that the electrics weren't earthed. Neither were the neighbours on either side [terraced house]. The electrics came into the cellar. A disused coal cellar, with a door that wouldn't open, as it had been shut for 20+ years, revealed a significant quantity of coal. Couldn't rewire without getting rid of the coal... it goes on and on. Fortunately the insurance covered virtually everything, but it's not something any of us wish to repeat. However, it's a story to tell, in these tedious times!

Good morning Cherylclaire I hope you’ve recovered from your latest experiences you must have felt so frustrated with it all.

It’s funny because I recently tidied out a sideboard and found a box of 100 ampoules and a full set of 100 syringes needles etc that I had stashed and forgotten about too lol.just laugh it off or it’ll drive you nuts.I just bought a mechanical timer because I’m quite forgetful and although I love to cook I have a dangerous habit of getting distracted so I’ve found this works really well for me.xx

I am just finished a course of B12 going for blood test in month try to not get yourself all annoyed about what is happening we have all had it I keep pen and paper on my dining table as I live in an apartment I write everything down to remind me of the things I have done and the things I need to do telephone numbers I write down and I can still forget to do half of the things I have got to the stage that when I put something away I know I am going to forget all about it I take my mobile and take a picture so I can look up my photos and see where I put it this has helped me as it has stopped my frustration of not remembering I use lots of different things rubber bands on wrist or change a ring onto another finger anything at all as coping is hard enough without getting into a complete frustrated person I hope this helps you or helps anyone at all take care good luck

I call it my dog-brain. It comes and goes but I get so easily distracted.

I have to start something and press on to completion, or else it remains half-done because I've forgotten all about it. Hard to start any large projects because of this !

Photos- that's a very good idea.

My visual memory is not so bad. I stopped reading because I found it difficult to follow a complex plot, remember characters etc. but found graphic novels (yes alright : comics) way easier - and quicker.

I haven't given up - I've kept all my books. I now read aloud to partner, chapter at a time. We discuss the characters and plot, maybe backtrack a bit sometimes, but that also helps.

Yes, it was extremely frustrating at work, but have now taken voluntary redundancy.

That's a bit of a relief.

Your garden must bring you a lot of pleasure. It has certainly kept a lot of us happy too, during this pandemic.

The rest of my life could currently easily fit on a postage stamp !
