Needing some advice

Hey everyone! So sorry to post again but not having much luck with my GP at the moment!

Been having some strange sensations in my throat and neck, thought it was neurological but think it could be due to palpitations?

Had a little bit of dizziness the other day but nothing too major!

Was wondering if anyone knows about this or had similar? My GP is still trying to tell me palpitations are not a symptom of PA (even though on the website it states it is and know many others have this too) and keeps putting it down to anxiety!

Had 2 ECG’s beginning of this year and both totally normal with no cause for concern!

Just so I know I’m not going mad hehe, thanks in advance and hope you’re all having a great weekend so far :)

Dont apologise for posting!

Your Go needs ti listen to you. I've had heart thudding and palpitations and all sorts of weird sensation s in my jaw head ...well everywhere.

My Gp just looks at me. No idea what shes thinking. I was less breathless after eventually tsusung my ferritin levels a bit. Gp wasnr concerned they had dropped by 40?

I've also been offered si many anti anxiety and anti depressants. I thought she brk7eved me at one point that I'm I'll pysixakkt and dudn4 agree low b12 can give anxiety that feels different. I told her in no uncertain terms but politely that I knew what stess bug time felt like aksi anxiety. But this is different. I'm glad you had the ECGs for reassurance .

Obviously if can keeo calm when this happens it does help.

I think it's part of the fight or flight mechanism that gets stimulated wrongly . My daughter also b12 deficiency at one stage thought she was having some sort of heart attack. She went to a and e and aks8 had a EC G

She disnt tell anyone fir ages. We at that stage didnt know she was deficient.

Have tiy had tour folate ferritin iron and vit d and thyroid blood tests recently?

Jus5 carry on believing in yourself. You know tour body

Its horrid not getting answers but good you did gets tests .

It's all very confusing and worrying at times as so erratic .

Do you feel any better a few days after an injection?

I write things down . Sometimes a link sometimes no rhyme or reason.

Hope it happens less and less for you.

My heart this walking downstairs sometimes as though I've just run for a bus.

Thank you so much for this reassurance! I’m overdue an injection, so wondering if this is why it’s getting worse! I have been wondering more and more about my Thyroid function. They tested it through bloods and was within normal range, however there are histories of thyroid problems in my family, and when my nan was younger and they tested hers, bloods came back normal but when she pushed for the dye test it showed an issue. PA is such a scary thing for me as causes me to have so many different feelings! I start studying to become a midwife soon so just want to feel healthy and happy hehe. Have a great rest of your weekend and thanks for the reply x

Did you have a full thyroid panel test ? Including anti-TG and anti-TPO ?

Worth doing perhaps- don't think NHS provide this but can get it done relatively cheaply as a postal blood test.

Good luck with your studies - reassuring that people still want to train in healthcare.

My heart arrhythmia turned out to be ventricular ectopics when 24-hr monitored, but graph blips did not tally up with sensations: thumping in chest/neck and dizziness (which you time and record). No reason, can start and stop without known cause, not dangerous. Has become less of a problem on it's own (without taking the betablockers offered). So really none the wiser, but it always feels better to have a confirmation, and something on your record- even though you know it's a real thing. ECGs were fine - but I still had the monitor fitted. One of the reasons I did not take the betablockers was because I'd been told that I had sinus bradycardia - slow heartbeat- when preparing for a procedure the year before. Confusing.

Most GPs seem unaware of the wide range and severity of B12 deficiency symptoms. I really wish this was taken more seriously by health professionals, that they were better educated in training, better prepared to help especially initially. That alone could reduce anxiety !

I had to refuse antidepressants quite a few times before GP would concede that I did not need them -or at least, stop offering them !
