I would look at the PAS information of when Injections are stopped.

You dont say what strength tablets are.?

It appears 2 x500mcg suggested.

.I was given 50mcg b12 tabkets x2 aday from Gp. They did nothing.

I've still got my injections at the surgery on request I also sourced my own supply as wanted to up frequency for a period .

Most have been put on tablets at my surgery too. This is not good enough for many. It is not right. Ask for a prescription? I was refused that but some have got one.

I would write to Gp with symptom list and concern. Phone as well.

You should get your much needed b12 injection .

Or get it whatever way you can.

Phone up your doctor. Describe your symptoms and say you are worried about permanent nerve damage.

If that doesn't work write to your doctor. cc to the local newspaper and TV stations. The media need to keep finding covid-19 stories and somebody suffering due to GP closures makes a good one.

you may want to share this information from the PAS

pernicious-anaemia-society....

there would be no problems taking more than one of the 1000mcg tablets a day - no limit.

Before you even consider looking for any hydrogen peroxide, check that you are aware of the possibility of tissue damage depending on strength, duration and personal sensitivity.

I found one fairly readable paper from 2000:

onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

You absolutely must not use high strength hydrogen peroxide. And you must be extremely careful with it. It can damage lungs, for example.

(I have no idea about it being used to identify candida.)

No - you did not say drink it.

But you didn't say, be careful neither to drink it nor to (accidentally) inhale it.

You did not specify strength and, unfortunately, I can imagine someone using some from their garage or other source which is entirely inappropriate. After all, hydrogen peroxide is hydrogen peroxide, isn't it? It is so very easy to assume someone will be going to Walgreens and asking for it. But it isn't necessarily so.

The paper I linked to was quite clear that issues can occur even with 3% hydrogen peroxide under some circumstances.

I am sorry that you think I "complicate" your response by adding safety information.

You might care to read the MSDS for 3% topical hydrogen peroxide for use as a first aid antiseptic: maxill.com/hk/downloads/dl/...

Even for that, there are numerous potential issues.

Better a thousand times careful than once dead.

Contact GP to arrange district nurse to give you the B12 injection, other than that the GP can give you the perscription and find out from 111 where you can go for the injection. Had the same problem with my elderly mum.

If the tablets are not working, then you should get back in touch with your practice and tell them that your symptoms are returning.

They have given you an alternative to your usual treatment that is inadequate for you. Please don't leave it.

I found 1000mg tablets made things worse and I got a terribly swollen tongue and blisters in my mouth so I stopped taking them and got 500mg tablets instead and so far they are keeping headaches and dizzy spells at bay. It did take a few days for the effects of the tablet to start working as it has to go through your system a longer way than im injections. Hope you find something that works for you. Good luck

Was your PA diagnosed by a Schillings Test? If you have PA you would not be producing Intrinsic Factor, Intrinsic Factor is needed for absorption of oral B12. I was diagnosed by Schillings test after two years trying to increase my B12 level by taking various oral and sublingual medications without success.
