Dizziness : I have been feeling dizzy... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Dizziness
Sounds familiar. I was staggering a bit today. My thyroid is okay so it may not be that. Hope it improves tomorrow. Horrible feeling.
I get this periodically thus wondered if it was related to my hormone levels?? I just eat something & then I’m fine agsin👍
My GP reduced my Thyroxine to 75mcg - said you don’t need as much when you get older!!!! I had dreadful symptoms and one of them was Vertigo, spinning sensation but no loss of balance. Got a more intelligent GP to return me to 100mcg all symptoms gone including the vertigo. So could it be that your dose is too low. (I have PA too)
My dose is 100 mg
I been taking this for a year now this dizziness just started like two weeks ago but ok
Well, two things, firstly have you had recent blood results? something may have changed and you might need an increased dose. And secondly I was prescribed Prochlorperazine for the Vertigo. But since My FT3 has increased I don’t need it as the dizziness has gone. This is just my own experience and I’m not a medic. I hope you find a cure. All the best.
Yes I had recently blood results but I haven’t had t3 test I had t4 but it’s not bad it’s just annoying but thanks
I was take 50 mg last year I weight 165 this year I started 100 mg I weight 182
Dizziness and vertigo are all part of the symptoms of neuropathy. Our brains have plenty of nerves that get affected by B12 deficiency and the lack of myelin. The balance center in the brain is commonly affected. Either too much or too little b12 causes symptoms. The too much b12 symptoms occur when the nerves start firing again after being dormant. The too little, when you need to take some more b12. Because of treatment, I rarely experience neuropathy and dizziness like before. Now, however, the occasional sensations that are caused by b12 levels adjusting, are few compared to before. I see it as part of my treatment.
I understand exactly what kind of dizziness it is. I get the same. I have PA and hypothyroid and diabetic. For a few weeks before the 12 weekly injectioin from the doctor I tend to start feeling dizzy, a kind of nausea, sharp shooting pains, wobbly legs, and a funny feeling that the pads of my feet have swollen and are spongy. The next day after the injection all this has gone. So it is not my thyroid or the diabetes, otherwise the injections wouldn't do anything. I have also had symptoms which have not gone away with a B12 injection, but when I increased my thyroid medication they went.
No, replying to you- Honey
