Returning symptoms

A couple of months ago I went from injections once a month to now once a week. I was having great improvement... finally. Recently my job got really stressful. Along with other stresses. My symptoms seem to be returning. Mostly weakness in my arm and hand.

I had a completely clean MRI in October when I had stronger symptoms that improved. But now returning but not as bad as originally.

Also, just to note I am on an antibiotic for a UTI. Frequent urination +2 leukocytes no bacteria. Not 100 convinced I have UTI. I have had interstitial cystitis in the past but have not had an episode in years.

I went to the doctor and he said I should have another MRI (given my symptoms) in the spring just to be 100% positive nothing has changed. To be honest when he said that it made me nervous

Has any had symptoms return with stress or just return.

Again I am injecting weekly and b12 level is >2000 and folate is >24

Thought/ advice would be greatly appreciated

THANK YOU!!

I personally think stress eats b12. on antibiotics too. Your body is struggling. Your doctor sounds on the ball. Of what are you having MRI scan. Are they scanning another area?

I had a second which included neck and brain

. Its good your doctor doing investigations. Hope the stresses calm down and toh see an improvement in symptoms.

Thank you. I had an MRI of the brain and neck. He wants to do a second MRI of the same areas... head and neck

I think it's a good thing . My second was okay. I was nervous too

Just looking for any changes. I was surprised the whole spine wasn't done

I wasnt even told the result. I rang and the receptionist said its normal you dont need to see a doctor!!!

I paid to see a neurologist to look at it for reassurance. Also to try and get an explanation for my symptoms.

Thank you Nackapan! B12 and MS have such overlapping symptoms that it’s nerve racking... literally and figuratively lol. I’m wondering if the antibiotics are causing symptoms too. Or stress. I was doing so well so now I’m frustrated and nervous. Thanks You!

Antibiotics kill off bad bacteria, but unfortunately , also the good . We need the good gut bacteria , which we can also call the flora . They are really upset by the antibiotics , and , if you also have Pernicious Anaemia , by the lack of stomach acid that comes with It Good to take a probiotic if you have to take antibiotics . I used Symprove , a water-based liquid , but there are many more available .

Fermented foods are also valuable for their probiotic content (organic , unpasteurised sauerkraut , real yoghurt , kefir and kimchi )

Best wishes .

Thank you for your knowledge. I am taking a probiotic with the antibiotic. In your opinion do you think the symptoms could have returned because of the antibiotics ( even though I’m taking a probiotic). The timing is the same. I started the antibiotics and had an increase in neurological symptoms
