I was prescribed ciprofloxacin for an infection...UTI. I noticed it said can cause peripheral neuropathy. I am recovering from peripheral neuropathy and was concerned about this side affect. I am 2 days on it and notice some weakness in my arm returning and it was causing me to throw up.

Was wondering the best antibiotics for a UTI when recovery from peripheral neuropathy

I successfully treated a UTI - with blood in urine (I did see dr’s with a sample) using D- Mannose every 3 hours, also vit C and probiotics every three hours. I spent the first afternoon sat in warm bath to help with pain etc but it cleared in a few days. Drink lots of good water to flush out the infection.

There are herbs that work too but this is easiest way for you to do yourself if have access to a good health shop. I sent my son with a note!

Do monitor yourself though and if seems to get worse see Dr/take prescription. I had a prescription but didn’t cash it in.

You will need some good probiotics anyway now you’ve had the antibiotics.

Cipro is very bad! Has a Black Box warning, can cause tendon tears. Bactrim works for a UTI. Feel better. Sita
