Help b12 questions

Hi all have been really struggling to get b12 injections done again after they were stopped after loading doses two years ago have now been given loading doses again followed by injection every 3 months but am feeling really ill before 12 weeks is up any one tell me weather should take folic acid as well have neurological symptoms really bad weakness in legs and pin needles in hands and feet please anyone with advice answer me am really desperate to fill well for once much appreciated thanks.

So terribly sorry you are suffering! If you are having neurological symptoms then your injections are not frequent enough. There is a great deal of information on this site, posted by people much more knowledgeable than I, so be sure to explore. This community is a supportive helpful place, don't give up.

Hi Drassum make a list of your symptoms, give this to your doctor and ask him to check the latest B.N.F guidelines on the frequency of B12 injections per the link below,

Read down from "Indications and Dose"

In addition ask to have your Folate level checked,

I would try giving your injections 2 monthly . Bnf guidelines as you shouldn't have difficulty getting them.

See how you go and fight for more if needed. Keeo a diary of symptoms.
