There are a lot of laws regarding the sale of therapeutic products so they will have undergone rigorous testing which would suggest that they do work however it is possible that the B12 molecule is too big to be taken up transdermally.

I believe that some people think they are useful but as they are expensive and of questionable benefit I'm not sure if they are worth it.

A better alternative is high dose tablets or sprays, particularly if put under the tongue and absorbed sublingually...

But if you actually have a problem then the only real solution is injections.

Good idea!

If you haven't had any jabs yet, are you aware that it is advisable to do your first one somewhere that you can get help in the extremely rare chance that you get a reaction to it?

The chances are negligible but not unheard of... That said, beauty parlours do them for lots of people without even being aware of the potential!

Have you seen Wedgewood's excellent replies about suppliers?

I use versandapo.de for my ampoules and exchangesupplies.org for my kit.

The B12 molecule is far too large to get across the skin without the help of an injection. None of the patches you can buy have been tested to see if they work. They don't.

You can see the difference in size between cyanocobalamin and nicotine here - b12science.com/B12Science/D...

All those red bits are oxygen atoms. They make the molecule more water soluble, To get across the skin a molecule must be fat soluble, not water soluble,

Hiya. Not sure. I've been putting half a one on (half at a time as they contain lots of B6 etc) at weekends when i can't get a jab from clinic.

I think they might work a bit but not sure they are worth the money.

The oral spray definitely does something (and was reduced at H and B last week!) but as it is methylcobalamin I have to be careful to balance that with camomile tea so I don't get too far up the anxiety scale (some people react badly to methyl groups and I have found out I am probably one of them!).

Thanks guys. Glad I asked. I've had jabs at the doctors and thought I'd follow up with patches. I'll buy the injections instead. My doctors are not that good. I can't seem to get the treatment I need from them. Thanks for replying.
