I've managed to do the journey and get a full assessment done for precision tinted glasses . It took 1 . 3/4hrs very thorough. I've been prescribed grey/green tints with uv cut out. Not on the NHS anymore so alot of money with the glasses to pay for as well. I'm hoping to get relief from light sensitivity in the house and maybe get to read or watch a bit of TV.
When I left I was so relieved I managed it all I decided to go for a short walk as beautiful day and refreshing being somewhere different. All of a sudden I went so weak it was awful. Fortunately lots of benches. I'd eaten so odd. Got home in a taxi. In the night had the enevitable headache starting at 0200. And people around me wonder why I can't do much.!!
As we've all said before. Invisible illnesses are tricky. Despite my big hat and dark glasses I look quite well and normal. There was no anxiety involved as doctors would like to think.
Anyhow will update if glasses help. They helped Pinkvision and someone else I'm sorry cant remember your user name. On the Headway forum. My eyes are healthy which is good. The prescription the same as my normal 'saver' optician which is reassuring. It's a system that mainly helps conditions you born with like dyslexia. It has been useful for migrain sufferers and light sensitivity.
Next is brain and spine MrI which is on The NHS thank goodness. Found first one difficult after first 20 mins. So be glad when that done.
