I have had iron deficiency twice over the last 3 years investigations found nothing. Is there any particular association with b12 deficiency. Does anyone know?

Iron deficiency and b12d
There may well be a connection Damseltree . After I was diagnosed with P.A. (one of the many causes of B12D) in 1972 I was also found to have recurring iron deficiency for which I was given a three month course of pills and within months the level was down again. I was referred to Stoke Mandeville Hospital who told me that I would need to be on iron permanently and so I have been together with the B12 injections.
That was forty odd years ago and I'm still "clivealive" at 78
I am not medically trained - I wish you well
My daughter has b12d and low ferritin. Haven’t found a cause for her b12d yet.
From posts I’ve seen it seems to be quite common that if your b12 is low then folate, vit d and ferritin/iron might also be. Presumably if the deficiency is due to an absorption problem (low stomach acid for example) this will affect more vitamins and minerals than just b12.
Currently most doctors seem to have little or no interest in the subject and are very dismissive of the effects they have on patients health. Hopefully one day the medical profession in general will realise its importance and more research will be done.
If the B12 deficiency is caused by PA then you will have low stomach acid, which can hinder the absorption of iron from food.
