Snap, Crackle & Pop: PA, B12 and tendon pain?

I've had a long history (nearly 4 decades) of idiopathic health issues which may be related to B12 & PA. Recent testing has shown low B12 & blood factors which appear to confirm this as a possibility. I have begun injections, did my 5th yesterday. Across time, a number of typical PA issues have come, peaked, and declined. One issue I began having a little over 2 years ago is diffuse tendon pain, particularly in my forearms, wrists & fingers, accompanied by a large increase in those "snapping" sounds on movement which most people experience on occasion. I see that joint pain is associated with PA, the pains I'm experiencing are mainly (tho not exclusively) where the tendon attach near joints; while they are coming from the tendons, I can see how they may be considered "joint related." I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these clearly tendon issues, pain & "snapping." Oddly, my left arm seems a bit worse than my right, though I am right handed.

Have you by any chance taken the antibiotic ciprofloxacine as this is a side effect (amongst others) of this drug. I took it in 2013 without knowing I had PA and it turned out to be the worst year of my life. I lost 11 kilos and suffered the worst anxiety I have ever experienced, I was six months off work.

Expat - Thanks for the reply. I know what you're referring to, but I've never taken a fluoroquinolone. A coworker had these issues, it can be really miserable. Have your symptoms cleared up over time? I've read it mostly impacts the Achilles tendon in the foot.

The tendon problem did sort itself out, but the nervous system problems took a lot longer.

This is very interesting. I suspect B12 deficiency in my son and he cracks and pops like crazy. No one can figure out why.

Have any docs suggested a possible cause of your son's popping noises? How old is he?

No they just aren't sure and said some crack more than others. But I know he hasn't always cracked. He just turned 18 but it's been happening since he was 14 or 15.

Is there pain associated with the noises? Of course I have no idea if your son & I share the same issue, I had no such problems when I was young, but most of my areas that "pop" aren't painful, but one in particular (right index finger, I am right handed) is very painful when it pops. Plus generalized tendon pain as I described. Has your son seen a rheumatologist?
