Hi All,

I am attaching my blood test results on transferin and ferritin. I asked my doctor and he says all ok. But there seems to be some out of range from the report. It is in German and I I am not sure what this terms are. My ferritin is 116 ug/ml(30-400)

Eisenmangel is the german for iron deficiency -

regardless of the CRP results (gives two instances for interpreting the Ferritin index) your ferritin levels are indicative of iron deficiency.

However, you really need to look at the whole context to be sure.

Suggest you ask the doctor what other things could cause the index to be so low.

Hi Gambit62,

Thanks for your reply. I have PA and also helicobacter pylori(treated with antibiotics) in December . I have breathless ness and also neurological symptoms from August 2018. All the blood results done till now are all in range and not suggestive of anemia. I have asked doctor about this results and he said everything is fine and I am not sure if it is because the ferritin is 116 ug/l and he did not check the ferritin and transferin index. This happened with many doctors when ever I showed them this results. I am feeling it’s anemia of some chronic disease as my serum IGe were too high but ANA and ANCA were negative. Please advice the specialist who would be knowledgeable so that i can consult. Thanks in advance.

I checked this site.

bioscientia.de/de/service/m...

It seems like I don’t have iron deficiency with ferritin index less than 3.2 ( mine is 1.00) with CRP <5 indicates normal iron supply.

Is there any option to add more images like in the new reply message or while posting. Now I can add only on image at a time per post.
