As pvanderaa says it is called brain fog.
If it is due to B12d and you get enough B12 and supporting supplements - unusually a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement plus extra folate, potassium, magnesium and iron, ideally from your diet, it should clear and you will be OK again. It is important that you get the treatment you need soon enough to avoid long term damage.

I still get this, despite self-injecting every other day although some very slow improvements.
Still cannot focus sufficiently to read a book or follow a complex series on TV. Doesn't stop me buying books or watching Line of Duty though ! Given some days everything can get overwhelmingly difficult, I find a long walk alone just not doing much helps me get through. Not always easy to get that opportunity if you are working full-time.
This lack of progress however is not the norm : most people seem to get better quicker.
This is though a fairly common symptom. I absolutely agree with deniseinmilden and followed her advice when I was at a low point. I had a brain scan after seeing a neurologist, which showed nothing remarkable. At the time this was a surprisingly positive result to me - and was a huge relief.
