Some symptoms keep coming back and you may get strange sensations during or after injections. Are you taking enough folic acid?

Hi. I just started supermarket folic 2 weeks ago. Could it be that kicking in?

If you have started taking it because of being deficient, then I think give it some time and see if symptoms resolve.

After three years of symptoms - many of which have ceased or declined - I began getting the symptoms that you describe. This disease is a bit like Alice in Wonderland - one seems to just keep opening doors into new worlds!

It is probably nerves that you haven't been able to feel for some time repairing and "waking up" but please be aware that the processes of DNA synthesis, nerve function and energy release that use B12 also need lots of other things to function properly so many people benefit from taking a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement plus extra folate, potassium, magnesium and iron, ideally from their diet.

You are now getting the folate (folic acid) but might need a bit more potassium and magnesium.

I suggest you Google these to see the effects of deficiency and excess and what dietary sources you might like.

I can remember waking up one morning after having regular jabs and finding I could feel something warm and alive at the bottom of my bed - scarey!!! It turned out to be my feet that I hadn't been able to feel for years had "woken up" over night!

I'm glad you're getting better and hope you make a good recovery. It's surprising how, even 4 years on I am still noticing little improvements so stay positive!

Thank you so much for your reply. Makes me feel better. Feet have been numb for a few years so maybe you are right. Potassium and magnesium levels are normal but I take mega mag liquid. It's amazing x
