Ice block

You may already know this tip but for those that don't I want to share it.

I got pretty sore arms whilst having every other day I M hydroxocobalamin injections and one nasty bruise. I now take an ice block with me and if you hold it against your skin where the needle goes it really helps. Especially on warm days. It doesn't hurt either.

Nackapan, some of us self-inject sub-cutaneously with smaller, finer needles. No bruising, almost no pain. Some believe that intra-muscular injections get more B12 into the body. I feel the same whether using SC or IM, so of course I go the way that is least painful, I've had to work with my pharmacist to find the easiest - 31 gauge, 6mm length. (Not everyone agrees on this SC vs IM matter.) I wish you more comfortable treatments.

Oh I realise that. The post was to give a tip for those that either have them Im at the surgery or choose to SI im at home. The warmer weather makes everyone a bit more susceptible to bruising . It works for me so just thought I'd share the tip as it's so simple. I'm glad you've found the way to suit you.
