Symptoms or side effects of the injections?

Hi folks.

I’m a bit confused as the possible side effects of injections seem very similar to me to the original symptoms of deficiency - e.g. pins and needles, heavy legs, fatigue. I had an injection 10 days ago and have heavier legs than before hand. Really feel my feet have been nailed to the ground. My initial loading injections leasted about 6 weeks - not long enough but a lot better than 10 days.

I found that I got worse before better. Remember well my feet seemingly stuck to the spot. Legs felt like lead. As you have said it feels odd after injections. Part of the healing process. After loading doses I got to 6 weeks with symptoms coming back. I'm currently on every other day until no further improvement! I'm definitely improving but a long way to go yet. Perhaps you need more frequent injections. ? Write down your symptoms and go back to your doctor. Bnf guidlines Nice guidelines will help. I wish you well

Thank you Nackapan. I have an appointment with GP Friday and have a list of symptoms for him but he’s already said he thinks all of us are imagining we need jabs earlier. I think I may be able to move him to two monthly and have to self inject in between.

Before I was diagnosed the only symptom I had was a sore tongue. During my load I developed pins and needles everywhere, heart palpitations, fatigue ,anxiety, red cheeks, eye twitches, loss of appetite, tremor, nausea and the list goes on. I am almost certain they were all side effects of the b12 itself. The good news is that after a few months most of the side effects are gone.My only remaining symptoms are morning fatigue which comes on as soon as I wake up and lasts only about 10 minutes and my tongue still gets sore but it’s about 90% better. Hang in there
