VITAMIN B12 deficiency, Misdiagnosis of my condition

I have been struggling with depression for years, ending up with app 15 tablets a day and no real improvement, I recently moved to Wagga Wagga and had to find a new GP.

I found a doctor at medical centre, who started fresh with diagnosing my situation, all the symptoms leaded to a vitamin B12 deficiency, now I think we are on the right track and hoop to see improvements Soon.

This I not sham or blame post but to warn people that a second opinion is vital.

Thanks, DR P, for your help so fare.

Regards J

Please note that your post has been amended to remove name of clinic and clinician as it is against HU and forum rules to include personal details of medical practitioners.

Good to know that you found the second opinion that you needed.

Really pleased for you that you at last have found a GP who is helping you . P.A. / B12 deficiency is often misdiagnosed . It really upsets me to think of how many people are leading very difficult lives and have permanent damage because they lack a cheap vitamin . I hope that the medical profession will soon be better educated about B12. But I’m not optimistic.

Hi XMX326MB100 it's good to read that "light has dawned" in Wagga Wagga and you are getting the treatment you need.

Sadly, ignorance about B12 amongst the medical profession these days is world-wide.

I wish you well.
