Hi all has anyone else experienced extreme dizziness and horrible feeling when they eat a meal mostly at dinner time? Who have had low folate and b12. Is this an anemic symptom. Its so horrible its like you can breathe and your head when u tilt to eat its like you feel like going to faint.

Possibly a problem with the vagus nerve. If it is it's probably nothing to do with B12. B12 doesn't tend to affect individual nerves that specifically.

Interesting.

Yes I do, I also feel rough for a while after eating too. I put it down to the body not being able to deal with an extra task so it compromises some where else in order to deal with processing your food. It can be quite disconcerting and unpleasant

Difficult to say as I have been up and down and I'm still trying to make sense of it all but I do have times when I am OK with eating and that is usually when my other symptoms aren't so bad or I haven't over done it, it does seem to be worse when my other symptoms are worse also, so the connection with levels is definitely there. I didn't realise just how long it takes to give your levels backup once they have gone down especially due to overexertion etc it has taken me over seven months to even begin go feel normal after working hard in the hot weather this summer. I'm now injecting every other day (was once a day when I was really bad) its so hit and miss and by the time you realise that you are low in b12 its a long climb back up

Yeah three years now I have been suffering with thyroid problems as well as this b vitamin stuff. Its nice to know though that you are not the only one otherwise i would be insane. I have just started today folic acid again as my levels have came right back down to 2 in the range. My b12 was in the 300s low but to NHS normal. So im working with a pharmacist to bring it up over 500.
