You can only obtain B12 ampoules for self injection with a prescription in the UK . They can be obtained from German online pharmacies , without prescription versandapo.de (but they were out of stock yesterday )

bodfeld-Apotheke.de

The above sites are in German , sontou might need a translation facility

Otherwise Amazon.de has a site in English .

But they are more expensive than the above online chemists .

You say in your other post that your doctor refuses to give you injections more often than every three months. Your doctor is probably unaware that the guidelines in the British National Formulary have recently changed to allow injections for all at 2 monthly intervals. Your doc will have a copy of the BNF online. Ask them to check the dosing for hydroxocobalamin and they will find this...

Indications and dose

Prophylaxis of macrocytic anaemias associated with vitamin B12 deficiency

By intramuscular injection

Adult

1 mg every 2–3 months.

Pernicious anaemia and other macrocytic anaemias without neurological involvement

By intramuscular injection

Adult

Initially 1 mg 3 times a week for 2 weeks, then 1 mg every 2–3 months.

Pernicious anaemia and other macrocytic anaemias with neurological involvement

By intramuscular injection

Adult

Initially 1 mg once daily on alternate days until no further improvement, then 1 mg every 2 months.

No. Unless you have a rare eye condition (Leber's Optic Neuropathy) then there is no problem with cyanocobalamin. The amount of cyanide produced is about the same as that from five apple pips.
