This article on supplements and doctors was in the Times newspaper today. Worth a read.

Hadn't noticed the article.

Basically saying that many doctors don't supplement. Even those that do seem well aware that it can be extremely difficult to know exactly what the consequences of supplementing would be and that food is the best way of getting vitamins and minerals (unless there are specific absorption problems, as in the case of PA and B12).

This isn't really that surprising when you consider that the human body has had millennia to adapt to getting its nutrition from food - but that supplements have been around for a much shorter time.

Possible, because a lot of Times content is subscription only, that others may not actually be able to see the article.
