Wooshing sensation

This is weird, I have had this weird whooshing sensation in my left groin, like a phone vibrating a few times recently. Very odd, didn’t have a clue others would have the same.

I have seen others mention the same but it would seem to be relatively uncommon as it must be over a year since someone last mentioned it

I used to get it a lot. After 3 1/2 years of treatment it happens much less often. Like Gambit62 I have heard of several others who experience it.

I get intermittent groin pressure on left-hand side that feels like a pulse-point. Thumbprint-sized area. GP felt it once and wondered if it was a lymph node, while I thought it might be a bursa or a vein problem. Only counter-pressure helps.

It used to get so bad that I once went to A+E but was given painkillers (very strong !) and sent home after 5 hours of mounting pressure. Didn't happen often and very rarely happens now and never so bad that I need medical help, but have been scanned and checked for hernia etc. and nothing ever found. I'm taking it that B12 injections are helping, so possibly it was bursitis (which is often treated with directed b12 injections)

I never got "vibrating phone" feeling, but have seen it mentioned here before.

I did have this for a long time but it only happened at night. I did mention it to my GP but he didn't take any notice.

In the end I had a femoral hernia and had to have surgery. Don't neglect it because it is painful.
