Mouth pain..ulcers.. cracked tongue.. 😣😔

I'm on 2 monthly injections. Past 6 months I have had severe mouth ulcers a cracked and sore tongue.. sringing nettle sensation. GP has treated me for oral thrush for months and they finally.. after I insisted referred me to ENT. However I think it is more autoimmune. Folate level was low and I'm now on folic acid. I have both PA and hypothyroidism. Parietal autoantibody was strongly positive 2011. Would monthly injections help? GP trying to take me off injections quoting new protocol. They did in 2016 and i was a mess. GP partner started loading dose and reinstated injections. Any advice or help please... x

I'm sorry - it's horrible, isn't it?

What you need is high enough doses of the right things to make your symptoms go away - after all they are your body's way of telling you that it isn't getting enough due to bad absorption and/or poor processing.

More B12 and more folate should fix it, probably combined with a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement. You will have to self inject and buy your own supporting supplements if your GP won't supply them.

This isn't impossibly expensive and SI really is OK - much easier than it sounds - and much, much easier than fighting the health system!

Thank you for your reply. I feel the same I have to fight for my own health. My only concern is no one seems to go down the complaint channels so much and stand up and be counted. I've worked all my life and paid my taxes. I want the healthcare and treatment I so rightly deserve. It's seems I have to research my own symptoms and continually return to my GP for failed support. I will be counted and after 6 months of excruciating mouth pain I will complain and be heard...x
