In the light of the Health Minister's comments on B12 deficiency guess what I had for dinner tonight :)

Just think after having had P.A for 46 years all I needed to do was eat broccoli to stay "clivealive".

If only we could get broccoli in injectable form and finally get a cure for PA. 😂 or maybe Matt Hancocks researcher should get a new job.

But it would be prescription-only in the UK and you know how hard it can be to get plain, cheap B12 injections. :-)

Thatcher might have had a different view. Just found this, in an article from 2003:

"Margaret Thatcher's fondness for a fortifying glass of whisky is well known. But her former personal assistant has now claimed that at times of crisis the former prime minister drank through the night.

Cynthia Crawford also revealed that her boss, whose energy and need for just a few hours of sleep a night is legendary, used to have vitamin B12 injections in her buttocks to sustain her."

"Mrs Crawford also said the prime minister was given injections of B12, the structure of which was discovered by a teacher of Lady Thatcher's at Oxford, Dorothy Hodgkin.

The vitamin is important in the production of the genetic material in cells and of red blood cells in bone marrow, and in the utilisation of folic acid.

According to her former aide, Mrs Thatcher had a shot of the vitamin on the morning she told her cabinet she was going to resign."

If you boil in salty water it’s quite nice otherwise tastes horrible.

Just my personal opinion.

I know it’s good for Folate but does broccoli contain a lot of B12 ?......and is that honey ? 😳

If the broccoli is spayed in the field with liquid cow manure and not washed properly it may well "carry" lots of B12 but I wouldn't recommend eating it :)
