Hi....This might sound like a daft question, but because it has been really hot recently, am I still safe to inject B12. I have been storing it in a cupboard, but have realised the room I keep it in has become really hot during the heatwave....is it still safe to inject (I am going to move it somewhere cooler) Will it have changed the B12 and made it unsafe to inject. Should I just buy some more and keep it in a cooler part of the house?

Storage of B12
Your B12 will still be OK to inject .Absolutely safe . It’s only been a few days at a high temperature . If kept over a longer period at high temperatures , it could lose potency . I would put it at the top of the fridge for the time being , but take out an ampoule in advance of injecting .
The normal adivce is that it doesn't need storing in a fridge so long as it is stored below 25 degrees. But as wedgewood suggests in view of the current hot weather fridge storage may be a good idea especially if you have a very hot room.
the problem with temperature is that it can cause the hydroxocobalim to break down into forms of cobolamin that your body can't use. This doesn't happen instantaneously but it does happen over time.
The vial and it's contents are sterile.
So, the issue isn't the safety but the potency of the injection.
