Have just been on line looking for B12 Hydroxocobalamin ampoules for you .. 2 German pharmacies that I use are out of stock . So many people are using B12 injections who are not PA patients for weight loss believe it or not — nonsense of course . My care.de have a site in English , but their shipping is expensive if you only want a pack of ten .( €17.00) the cheapest is German amazon ( Amazon .de in English ) Look for Rotexmedica B12 depot . The main one to come up does not deliver to U.K. . Look on the right for the OTHER SELLERS ——- APOTALIS. will sell you a pack of 10 for €11.04 and delivery to U.K. is €7.68 So €18.73 ( £17.07 ). You can buy multiples of that or 100 for €58.53 plus €7.69 shipping . Needles syringes , swabs and sharps box from Medicare. U.K.

wedgewood How far ahead is the expiry date on the B12 from versandapo.de and mycare.de as I am trying to decide how many to purchase when it comes in stock

fbirder profile image
fbirder in reply tocarer999

The last batch I got from Versand had an expiry date of 20 months. I inject twice a week, so 100 ampoules was fine.

I’ve read that people have had expiry dates of 24 to 30 months.

The last lot I got (100) had an expiry date of over 2 years . I read somewhere that if they have been stored correctly i.e. in the dark and under 25c , they will be fine for many more months . I actually keep mine in a warm fridge which is about 12c . At the moment ( this evening ) they are out of stock at versandapo.de . So keep looking .Also out of stock at Bodfeld apotheke .de . They are in stock at mycare.de . but are a bit more expensive than versandapo . (Shipping €17 , but thats not so crucial if you are buying 100 )

Hello Wedgewood. For what it's worth, MyCare.de got its new stock a few weeks ago when RotexMedica re-started production and the expiry date is April 2021.

I inject daily, so I got a bit panicky when VersandApo ran out recently and they then stopped using English, so I bought the new RotexMedica supply as soon as it became available.

I suppose I could have got some other brand like Pacoe and you are finding retailers with yet more brands of injectable hydroxocobalamin which is great but I was too panicky to be patient!

I have actually found no end of German online pharmacies that sell B12 Hydroxocobalamin, but most of then do not ship to U.K. , and hardly any have a site in English . I think it would be a good idea if we all mastered the way to do the translating with the google chrome app . ( it’s free of charge ) I’m concerned that B12 has got so popular in the daft beauty clinics , for weight-loss and other s

Blue Horizon now do a UK-wide B12 injection service. £75 per shot, but they come to your home or workplace.

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply topetal02

Interesting, I’d no idea . But a bit pricey when you think what it costs us to D.I.Y. Thanks for that though .

petal02 profile image
petal02 in reply towedgewood

Yes, self injecting is far cheaper, but for cowards like me who still can't bring themselves to pick up a needle, it's a useful service if I get desperate occasionally!

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply topetal02

I would have done that too , when I was feeling so desperate , when my GP would only give me an injection once every 3 months . But then I eventually discovered PAS , thank goodness . I’m sure you could overcome your fear of self-injection with therapy , but then that would be expensive too ! It’s also the convenience of S.I. that’s appealing . No waiting around at the surgery etc .

I wonder if some enterprising person here in the UK might order a big load of B12 ampoules from Germany and then sell them in smaller quantities on eBay. There's probably a market for this arrangement if it isn't breaking some UK regulations.

In a way, IntraVita already does this with B12 made by Arnika but Arnika's own prices (for any type of B12) are pretty steep to start with.

Hi Anne1952. Here are some links to websites where you should find all you need...but note wedgewood 's comments about the two Germany suppliers being out-of-stock (I've left the links in for future use and Wedgewood has suggested alternative suppliers for B12). Also worth keeping an eye on the German suppliers because they usually re-stock quite quickly.

Here's the links:

Hydroxocobalamin 1mg in 1 ml x 100 (boxes of 10 ampoules also available)

versandapo.de/en/8614/38623...

This has been on special offer and last time I looked, it was out of stock - so here's another supplier, just in case (I've bought from both):

mycare.de/en/online-kaufen/...

Other supplies (syringes, needles, sharps disposal box, alcohol skin wipes):

medisave.co.uk/b-d-2ml-plas... (2ml syringes better than 1ml - easier to draw up B12 and easier to handle than thinner 1ml syringes)

medisave.co.uk/b-d-microlan... Green needles for drawing up)

medisave.co.uk/b-d-microlan... (Blue needles for injecting)

medisave.co.uk/sharpsguard-... (Sharps Bin for disposal of ampoules, needles and syringes)

medisave.co.uk/medisave-pro... (Alcohol injection swabs)

If you look in the pinned posts to the right of the page (tap the view all tab) there's a post that explains how to translate foregin language websites into English.

Good luck 👍

Hi Foggyme and all jabbers out there...

I bought my last lot of needles from Exchange Supplies (in Dorchester, post anywhere) and they do a wide range of needles, including much finer ones.

exchangesupplies.org/shopdi...

I got the 26 x 1" ones and find them to be plenty strong enough, a lot more comfortable and less likely to cause bruising. There are even finer ones available.

I found this out from a post a couple of months ago by Cetus

Hello Denise. How do you do that trick of making my name into a clickable link like you did in your message? :)

deniseinmilden profile image
deniseinmilden in reply toCetus

You put an "@" in your message, followed by the person's profile name. It's very hit and miss whether it works or not and it usually won't let me carry on writing afterwards - hence why I had to rejig the wording in my message so your name appeared at the end!! 😁

@deniseinmilden

Thank you. It didn't seem to work this time for me. Oh well.

deniseinmilden profile image
deniseinmilden in reply toCetus

@Cetus it did for me!!

And it let me carry on typing today!

Try another time - I think it's just cranky!! 😁

deniseinmilden in reply todeniseinmilden

Oh, no if didn't - I was mistaken.

deniseinmilden profile image
deniseinmilden in reply todeniseinmilden

Cetus - now it has!

And let me type!

This time I was more careful to press on the drop down menu option... Maybe that was it?

helvella profile image
helvella in reply todeniseinmilden

The dropdown menu can take a long time to appear. (Sure it's slower than it used to be.) If you just carry on typing, the menu might not appear at all. Be patient!

deniseinmilden profile image
deniseinmilden in reply tohelvella

(This bit was supposed to be after your name but tonight it won't let me carry on typing so I'm adding this at the beginning!). I will try to be more patient as well as precise and see if that makes it more reliable.

Thank you helvella

Cetus profile image
Cetus in reply todeniseinmilden

deniseinmilden I've looked at this some more. As you type the name, the system looks up all the name matches and shows a dropdown list. If you select the name you want from the list (there may only be one entry) you will get the name inserted in your message as a link.

Hope this works for you too!

deniseinmilden in reply toCetus

That's right! It does if it's going to! 😁

It wouldn't work at all this morning!

Thank you! x

Anne, There are some helpful videos here and this place is the same place I get my B12 and all the instructions and site are in English. These videos were invaluable to me when I first started injecting myself. youtube.com/channel/UC5s4dM...
