My husband has PA with macrocytosis. His ferritin at his latest blood test was 681ng/ml but no iron saturation test was done. He is on 3 monthly injections of b12 and suffers with poor memory, fatigue, joint pain and restless legs. Are there anything innocent explanations of ferritin this high?

ferritin is only one measure of iron and it is always possible for a sample to give a blip. If he hasn't had a full iron panel then that would probably be the next step. Like most test results it needs to be interpreted in a context.
Is he supplementing biotin (B7) at all - if memory serves me correctly this can interfere with ferritin test
