Here in the U.K. , loading injections , 6 of them of 1mg strength , are given over 2 weeks . Then one only gets one every 3 months . Hydroxocobalamin is the preferred B12 over here . It is difficult to get more regular than that . This causes great stress. and ill-Health to people who need more . That’s why this society has been so fantastically helpful to folk like me .

Since you wrote you took all 10 ml in one go on your first self injection,, loading doses may be not needed.

Set up a regular schedule for yourself and stick to it. There are delayed symptoms because the gut is nvolved.

Things can get very confusing otherwise.

Replacing B12 will lead to a huge increase in the production of blood cells and platelets (which occurs in the bone marrow) and can lead to rapid depletion of folate and iron stores; this can then limit the expected recovery of Hb.

Both iron and folate may be needed.
