Hallo

Does anyone has gotcemotional problems? I'm getting very irritated at people and things and read that it is also a symptom. Little people tram here wrote about that.

Anyone has got similar problems? How do you cope with this?

Yup.

Irritation, mood swings and depression. If I inject every week then they come back. I need twice a week to stamp on them

But it’s still there in the background. Before I start snapping at people I have to make myself realise that it’s not them, it’s my damaged brain. Unless it is them, of course, in which case they get both barrels.

getting irritable is one of my warnings that I need totop up my B12 levels

Yes - I can't cope if things aren't straight forward and I used to get desperately upset at almost nothing - good or bad!!

More B12, and the supporting supplements that make it work, particularly folate and potassium all help.

Yes I find I get easily worked up these days, and I have to try to think before I speak otherwise things come out that I would not say on another day.

I don't think I'm irritable (you'd have to check with my nearest and dearest!), but I do get really anxious when my B12 is low. I feel overwhelmingly worried about nothing at all - sure sign that I need a jab!

Ela1 please do not feel worried about this.

Anxiety, mood-swings, anger, tears, irritability, impatience- all of these are familiar to most of us. It does get better. I have inappropriately shouted, argued or cried in front of most of the people who work in customer-facing jobs around this area: supermaket, chemist, GP surgery (GPs and nurses), library.... you name it. Some of them get that I was ill, some don't. Most have forgiven or forgotten, and only a couple remain miffed. It was even more scarey for me than them.

Now that I am self-injecting and can control how well I am, this does not happen. Family and friends care about how I am and support me. I am also able to say to people now that I have cognitive problems, and sometimes need things to be more straightforward and simple. Everyone at work knows: they care or don't care, just as before I got ill. People that count will be in your corner; even when it is difficult to like you, they will love you. Even when you don't particularly like them ! (..Or yourself!)

Whenever I'm finding people hard to understand, I go for a very long walk alone and live in the moment. Mostly, that's all I need to do to get over it now.

It won't always be this hard.
