I have recently taken is saliva cortisol test and the results came back saying that I have very very low cortisol levels
After I got the results immediately made an appointment to see my GP she was not interested in these results at all because obviously they are not NHS she took blood samples from me and had my thyroid checked the results came back and everything was fine
After this I was still very concerned with the fact I'm exceptionally tired most of the day and this kind of tallies up with my very low cortisol levels so what I did was organised to see a private hematologist he took blood samples and got them analysed and the results came back there was nothing wrong with me
So here's my question
Am I imagining my exceptionally poor ability to concentrate and the extreme tiredness I feel on a daily basis and were the results I paid for the saliva cortisol test not worth the paper they're written on
Why did my GP when I know and I thought I had a cortisol issue test my thyroid gland and come up with the result that everything was fine?
Why did the private haematologist come to the same conclusion as my GP? Are they not telling me something or not testing correctly?
Maybe someone here would be able to shed some light on this
