seems to be relatively common to hear people reporting that they need to reduce levo when they start on B12.

Thank you Gambit62. I may try dropping my dose down over next two weeks to see if I start sleeping properly again.

My thyroxine dose has been steady for the last 10 years.

People on this forum have been my only real guidance with PA since I was diagnosed May last year. Thank you for your help people!!!!

That is interesting

I am hypo and have pa and my main symptoms right now are tingling in arms and feet and shortness of breath. Feels like I’m having a constant anxiety attack😪

Maybe my Levo is too much. Why would that be?

I self inject as needed

sorry, can't answer on why/how B12 and levo interact - not sure that the scientists know for sure.

depending on the relative timingof development of hypothyroidism and PA it is also possible that you might need higher doses of levo (as PA can affect the absorption of levo). Suggest you speak to your GP and get thyroid levels checked. You can get more support in respect of thyroid issues on TUK forum

No change for me. In fact I have increased levo by 25 mcg over the last 6 months to bring my tsh down from 3.20 . Been having b12 injection every 12 weeks for 2 years now. Now on 150 mcg levo. Interesting.

I had my thyroid checked too many times to count. Since B12 and B9 I no longer have a swollen thyroid also don't get any comments about getting it checked. I work in the health industry.
