Excessive and uncontrollable blinking

Today I have had stinging in my right eye and feels like they are blinking more than they should.

5 weeks after treatment. Is this the b12 working on the nerves or should I be concerned?

Although it could be the B12 working for you, it could also be something else, and more sinister, there is no way of knowing.

I would suggest either an appointment with your optician initially, or a visit to your doctor.

Best wishes

Hi EJG79....you said in your other post you had pressure at the base of scull and tremor, well I have that too, I was hoping b12 would calm my brain down like it does with some people and fix it but so far it seems to be worse. I think it is because b12 is a stimulant and is making the neurotransmitters in your brain hyper, the same thing is probably happening with your eyes. When you are already anxious like I am it does'nt take much for the brain to speed up and go too fast. I am at a loss as to what to do, I want to take b12 but can't tolerate hyperactivity. I need my brain to slow down. I might try magnesium. All the best

Hi stayfocussed, I am so scared of what is happening to me. I would like to be tested for lots of things that maybe causing my symptoms but I don’t have much faith in my doctor that they will do what I ask.

I have suffered with anxiety for a long time and so my doctor and family think I am suffering that but I do feel there is something very wrong.

I know it is scary and I think it is bought on by too much stress, but just seems strange that we both have neck problems and we both have low b12. Have you had the MTHFR gene test done yet because I have that gene, it means you can't process folic acid properly and you need that to process b vitamins. If you don't mind me asking how long have you had the neck thing, were you taking any medication or anything at the time. I'm just trying to find out more about it so I can fix it. Doctors don't know anything...I have to work it out myself

Hi,

I don't know if this is quite the same thing but I used to have times when my eyelids were flickering. This still happens occasionally to me and for me seems to be a sign when I need more B12.

I think the medical term for eyelid flickering is blepharospasm.

I found some interesting articles when I searched for "blepharospasm B12 deficiency".

I hope that B12 treatment helps your blinking.

Vb12 is a direct cause of my constant blinking. After jab it goes away but as I get within 4 weeks of the next jab it drives me up the wall...
