pin and needles
While a B12 deficiency can cause peripheral neuropathy, it tends to be mainly in the hands and feet.
You really need to see a doctor about it.
My tingling/ numbness started started on my face. Lips nose and chin, then spread up the right hand side of my face to my ear and top of my head. It then spread to arms, legs and stomach. That was all within 4 weeks. There are other causes and you need to get checked out. But yes b12 deficiency can cause it.
Before i was diagnosed with PA i had numbness from my eyebrow down the side of my nose and across my cheek bone on the right side of my face. Also my hand and foot and always on the right side. it felt frozen and almost it you hit it there was no feeling! It felt cold and numb. Since the B12 loading shots and jabs i only occasionally get it when my next jab is due and only sometimes.
I also have that in my face, but mines on my left side. It feels almost like pin prick burning, very specific in place when it happens, like I could pin point it exactly. It seems to be side of my eye, on my eye lids tips almost where my eye lashes are, cheek, crease of the side of my nose, roof of my mouth and inside my cheek, top of my lip. It comes and goes but it’s every day almost all day. I’m not what causes it as my b12 is normal at 313, yet I’m folate deficient, high MCV and high MCH.
