what a difference a year makes......

Looking at my diary this time last year shows I was pretty desperate because of all my symptoms - b12 reading was 77. I had terrible pains in feet, legs and knees - fatigue was unbelievable, poor balance... loss of words, tinitus and more - gp would not budge after my loading doses from b12 every three months. I cried, I got angry, got b12 from Canada, and saw a sympathetic neurologist. Now 12 months on I have (at them moment) a b12 every two weeks. Guess what.... most symptoms are mostly gone except for one very painful foot at night. The threat of taking away my fortnightly injections hangs over my head, but I am telling my tale to encourage others to hang in there and fight fight. Left the walking stick at home today. Yea!

I'm so pleased to read your positive account of your improvements.

Your levels are so similar that I hope that HappyKatieA sees your account of your experience and can take some heart from it.

Wonderful to hear

Yes, I can understand your fear the frequent injections might be taken away from you but that may not happen, of course! If it does, could you self-inject, perhaps?

Great story. That will give so many hope - including myself. Thank you for sharing

So encouraging! I'm on the case now. Once every three months is an insult to us. So tired of the pain in my legs, knees and feet and weakness and such exhaustion.

Thankyou for your words.

Shalinee - balance is one of the last of my symptoms to improve. still not 100% but getting there, and as I mentioned walking stick left at home yesterday. not sure its gone for good - but on the way there. There was a time when I thought it was all downhill, but not any longer. My goodness, though, I have had to fight to get two-weekly injections. Any nonsense and I shall self inject.

Sounds very possitive , with me the balance was one the last symptoms to get better, took more then a year until I, like you, noticed I had no need of my walking stick anymore. My balance is very much improved but certainly not perfect. It warns me that I am ready for a top up.

Hi jillc39. Really great to hear that you're doing so well...and my, what a fight you've had to get to where you are now.

Well done...and good riddance to that walking stick 😀.

Hi jillc39 - how lovely to hear this ! It is very encouraging that you are getting there.
