did you mean to post this on TUK

nothing that I can see in the results above that would flag B12 or folate deficiencies - but then the test doesn't include folate and B12.

serum B12 isn't a useful test to do after you are on shots - what counts is symptoms. It may be that you are one of the many for whom 3 months is just too long.

Do your maintenance shots make any difference to the symptoms? - looks like you said you used to but no longer do - was that before you were given the iron treatment?

Your RDW is still towards the top of the normal range if I remember the normal range properly.

both macrocytic (B12/folate) and microcytic (iron) anaemia takes a few months at least to resolve as new red blood cells are only replaced as they die and they tend to live for about 4 months.

May be that you will notice difference from your next maintenance shot.

Hi. Just needed to make contact. I had the B12 loading dose and felt great. Then the symptoms came back and gp did a blood test and said it obviously wasn't low B12 causing the symptoms as B12 was now high. So he withdrew all treatment. I am totally confused and feel like I am going through the same as you. I know there is something wrong but nobody is listening. Please post how you get on

It looks very unhelpful to not show the ranges or comments.

If I can find a way of loading my results as a picture, I shall because this is far more comprehensive and gives ranges.

I've tried but cannot work out how to copy paste when on the iPad. It just isn't available.

I had the same problem it will not let me turn the picture around it shows it sideways on my screen and it's hard enough to read and as for understanding I haven't a clue where my ranges should be thanks again
