So back in 2012 I stopped taking my vitamins I don't know why I was low on b12 and vitamin d. I'm dumb I know, anyways fast forward to today and I feel like shit. I don't have a healthy meal everyday. For the past six months I barely ate any meat, I ate cabbage, kidney beans, peas, corn. For six months with maybe a piece of turkey sausage once in a blue moon. Last year I got diagnosed with hypoglycemia never had a test for it. She just said I was. Because my symptoms were dizziness, headaches, hot flashes, shakey if I haven't ate in five hours, extreme anxiety, very tired, can't move, shirtnsss of breath, aches when I inhaled.
She said it was hypoglycemia.
Now I'm goin to a new doctor on the 1st and I'm telling her all this information. I feel so horrible I have heart palpitations I get myself worked up. I just started taking b12/vitamin d and a multivitamin this last Saturday.
I'm so shakey, I feel sick, I'm very hot, I have to eat every five hours I get so hungry so quick.
Anyone experience this before ? Is this normal for being low on b12? I'll find out after I go to the doctor I'm just anxious. I wanna know why I feel awful. I also been getting the numb/tingles in my feet a LOT! I just need reassurance or to see if anyone else experiences this? :/ I just need to know I'm okay haha sorry if I sound dumb
Also I'm 22 if age matters

Hi, sorry you are feeling at a low ebb but can i suggest you stop taking anything with b12 in it until you have been tested by your new gp as potentially it can alter the results which i take it you want to find out if it is b12 related. Ask for b12 folate ferritin vit d and maybe thyroid too, would be my suggestion.
hypoglycemia means that your blood sugars were low so your cells weren't getting the energy they needed. It isn't a symptom of B12 deficiency. It can be a result of diabetes - and symptoms of diabetes and B12 deficiency do overlap - untreated diabetes will cause cardio vascular problems and can lead to peripheral neuropathy - but so can a lot of other things.
Your body stores B12 in your liver in good quantities - enough for a year or more - so not eating meat or any dairy/fish/egg for a month is unlikely to have any effect.
It sounds as if you are definitely in a bad way whatever the cause. My suggestion would be to work with a friend/family relative to put down all the relevant facts on paper in an orderly fashion to make communicating with a doctor easier. Given the severity of your symptoms I'd be inclined to get either try and get a much earlier appointment, or alternatively go to A&E. Take friend with you to help you with communicating.
I really hope that you do have someone (friend or family) who can accompany you and help you with communicating. You need to get some proper blood tests done to look at a number of conditions (and to be honest, B12 doesn't sound like a major candidate to me - but I am not medically qualified).
Tried getting an earlier appointment today. They said no, my appointment is September 1st. I honestly have no clue what else it would be I was misdiagnosed with hypoglycemia last year. I recently remembered years ago I had this same issue and was low on B12. Thanks for the response
