Is frequent cramp a symptom? Had my loading doses a month ago, but concerned I am still having nureological syptoms. Tinnitus, pins and needles, but also more frequent cramp and migraine. Sometimes a loss of balance and dizziness. Should I return to the Doctor with this list.
Many thanks.

Hi Auntieglitterball your loading doses should have continued "until there was no further improvement" if this was not the case you should go back to your doctor with your list of neurological symptoms.
Two months ago your Folate level was very low. Have you been supplementing with folic acid since then?
There is a complex interaction between folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron. A deficiency of one may be "masked" by excess of another so the three must always be in balance.
Symptoms of a folate deficiency can include:
symptoms related to anaemia
reduced sense of taste
diarrhoea
numbness and tingling in the feet and hands
muscle weakness
depression
Folic acid works closely with vitamin B12 in making red blood cells and helps iron function properly in the body and your B12 levels were "bumping along the bottom of the range.
I am not a medically trained person but there are others who will be able to give you good advice.
Have seen GP today. Have now been prescribed folic acid and have blood test for intrinsic factor and coeliac on Monday. He seemed open to the idea of giving some more B12 earlier than September, which is when I am due to have next shot. He said he would call me regarding the blood results.
