Hi Leigh. Note that in 1976 you had a procedure listed as resection and appendicectomy. If you had some of your bowel resected - as well as the appendicectomy - this could well impact on your body's ability to absorb vitamin B12...and result in B12 deficency (bowel resection is one of the known causes of B12 deficency - B12 injections required for life if affected).
