Guidance needed

This group has helped me with my b12 deficiency greatly and I have been spreading the word about B12 to everyone. Now I have a friend that could do with some guidance. Info is a bit limited but any help gratefully received

She is now 52. A couple of years ago she start having symptoms that made the doctor suspect Fibromyalgia. Blood test were done but from what I understand the test did not confirm Fibromyalgia and so he told her to go on a restrictive diet where she lost 3 stone (now at a weight she should be) but still has the joint pain symptoms. As usual he basically told her whatever she has she would have to live with it.

Of course the first thing I asked her was if she had had B12 tested which she had and gave me the results which look interesting.

These were tests before the diet.

Vitamin B12 1465 ng/l (191 - 663)

Folate 13.1 ug/l (4.6 - 18.7)

These were results after 12 months on diet

Vitamin B12 611 ng/l (191 - 663)

Folate 4.7 ug/l (4.6 - 18.7)

Obviously the things that stand out to me are the very high B12 in first test (she was not taking any supplements) and the very low Folate in second test.

As I said any views/comments gratefully received
