B12 injection
In this country they are usually free form your GP pratice but I'm not sure what they cost privately. I self inject and get my b12 ampules free on prescription rather than buy them over the internet.
cost of an ampoule seems to vary based on where you are based - if you are in europe then the cost of a single dose ampoule of hydroxocobalamin is around euro 80 working on purchasing a hundred at a time. If just buying 10 it will be about euro 1.1. cyanocobalamin is cheaper by about 25-30%. Seems to be more expensive in the US.
This doesn't include the costs of needles - which will be a few cents - or cost of any time from medical professionals. If having the injections privately in the UK it isn't unheard of for people to find themselves forking out £150 a time.
I self - inject . I buy100 Hydroxocobalamin ampoules from a German online chemist for about 55 Euros . I buy 100 long withdrawing needles , fine injection needles , syringes and swabs . In total an injection costs about £1 , buying in bulk .
A private injection will certainly cost £100 with consultation fees etc .
It's good to have control and to be able to have an injection when needed .My surgery will not let me have more than one injection every three months . That is why I have to self-inject - once a week - to keep well .
Which online German chemist do you buy from? And is there any form you need your own GP to fill in, in order to receive this bulk? In Denmark we must have have a prescription and pay roughly € 20 for 1 ampule/dose of Hydroxycobalamin, no refund no nothing. . .
I use "versandapo.de in English" ( comes up in English if you type all that in) No prescription for B12 ampoules required in Germany . No form required from GP. Well you can save a lot of money by getting your Hydroxocobalamin from a Getman online pharmacy They are very good and well controlled by the German authorities . The sell-by date is about 2 1/2 years later . I think you have to search for " vitamin B12 ampoules ,not Hydroxocobalamin . Get online immediately ! Very best wishes to you !
This is truly amazing and that will my future purchase, when my two ampoules are finished. Only thing is, I doubt that my GP will accept the online ampoules in spite of the invoice, partly because of the missing prescription (on which he earns a bit) and partly because of the lack of security of the product.
Then I won't get access to the regular blood samples of my very unstable ferritin level, if I start self injecting (I asked about this earlier, but as I'm getting the injection every six-eight weeks he says it's more frequently than the recommended 12 weeks, so due to the risk, he wants the nurse to do it, ie, no to self injection and his accept, therefore no to the frequent blood work if I go of my own, so to speak.
Thank you very much for your reply and suggestion🙏.
If you can find a "Reviv" clinic near you, they do a B12 shot (I think it's cynocobalamin) for between £23-£39. One of my friends has used them and she said she would recommend them
