i have my blood test results. from these my doctor diagnosed me with pernicious Anaemia. I wonder how he made that diagnosis.
What numbers are relevant?

you can either add in the results as numbers and ranges or if you have a picture to upload you can do that - click on the down arrow next to follow post and choose the edit option
Here are some of the numbers
Mean Corpuscular volume(MCV) 92 fl 76.00-100.00fl
Haemoglobin(MCH) 32.4 pg 27.00-36.00pg
B12 109 ng/L 197.00-771ng/l
folate 19.8 ug/L 3.9-26.80 ug/L
total white cell count 5.5 10*9/L 4.00-11.0010*9/L
red blood cell count 4.5 10*12/L4.50-6.5010*12/L
Haemoglobin estimation 146 g/l 130.00-180.00g/l
Haematocrit 0.414 0.40-0.54
your MCV might be a little on the high side and your MCH but neither is screaming macrocytosis.
The serum B12 is extermely low - unlikely that you won't be deficient with a serum B12 that low.
What numbers would give the diagnosis of PA?
just realised that I'd missed that bit - likely to be lose terminology on the part of your doctor - often use PA as a catch all for a B12 deficiency caused by absorption problems when strictly PA is just one absorption problem. Normal test for PA is IFA but it's prone to false negatives - gastrin levels tend are likely to be a much better test but don't think this has been officially recognised as a test yet.
i will check if these tests have been done.
what can i do to help reduce MCV level
what treatment are you being given for B12?
red blood cells are only replaced by the body when they come to the end of their natural 'live' which averages at about 120 days - 4 months - so it will take a while but any anaemia should correct itself as the treatment continues.
Standard Protocol.
6 jabs over 2weeks then every 3 months
