someone posted details of a very simple way to test if you are absorbing nutrients correctly,and I planned to do this,but have forgotten the instructions

s you eat a while beetroot and watch,and the length of time until you see the colour change tells you what you need to know

can anyone remind me

It's a good test for the absorption and elimination of betacyanins. And that's about it. It's going to tell you little to nothing about absorption of anything else.

Many nutrients rely on enzymes activity to break them into absorbable bits. Others will be absorbed from the gut via an active process. Only those absorbed mainly by passive absorption will act like betacyanins - and then only if their hydrophilicity (or hydrophobicity) is similar.
