I want further blood tests, but will my self injecting affect results ?

Hi,

Hoping one or two of our more informed can advise. I would like blood tests on following :-

Serum Folate / Potassium / Ferritin / Homocysteine / MMA, as started self injecting due to pondering by GP`s since October 2016, so wanting to check co-factor levels to B12, and due to having 3 Heart attacks since 2007 want to check levels of Homocysteine due to its connection with Heart Disease.

Would any of these be compromised due to self injecting ( currently still alternate days ) ?

Many thanks.

Barry

MMA and homocysteine will be affected - not really worth doing if you are self injecting.
