Oh Queeniz...I'm so sorry that you’re feeling so low at the moment...and not surprised having taken a quick peek at your previous posts!

It looks like you were sourcing your own B12 injections and planning to self-inject? Did you manage to start those injections?

If so, you’re still quite early in the treatment phase and recovery from B12 deficiency can be quite slow, sometimes it can take months especially when the deficiency has been present for some time (and untreated or under treated). We all repair and recover at different rates, and some symptoms (especially neurological ones) take longer than others to eventually abate. Some here have reported that they’re still experiencing improvements two years after starting treatment - so please don't lose hope (and it won't necessarily be that slow).

Please know that improvement and recovery can and does happen...slowly but surely you will improve and get back more of the person you used to be.

Sick of being sick...and having to wake up still sick - all here will get that and understand how you feel. It's worth noting that depression, anxiety and mood disorders can be symptoms of B12 deficiency, so this may well lift as treatment progresses.

But if you continue to feel like this please do speak to your GP about it. I know that these are difficult times but GP's are still supposed to be delivering primary healthcare, so please do make contact, if things don't change.

The world is a tough scary place right now, so that doesn't help, does it. But this to will pass. I know that you don’t feel it right now, but things will get better...just hang on in there and know that there will be a brighter and healthier future...for you...and for all of us.

You don't say exactly why you're having a bad time right now so just wondering if you have practical support and ways of dealing with whatever form of 'lockdown' circumstance you’re in? And relatives or friends to support you?

This is a lovely community and I'm sure you'll get other supportive responses tomorrow (it’s quite late now).

Please try and get some rest and when you open your eyes in the morning please please try to think of one good thing to start the day. Just one. For just a moment. Like many here, I've also been where you are and know how hard that is to do...but try anyway, cause it does help (or at least it helped me). 😉

Please keep posting and let us know how you’re doing, and keep popping in for a chat if you feel low or lonely.

Here's a big cyber hug (the safest - only kind - right now)...delivered with sincere wishes for better times very soon xx

Hi Queeniz,

I don’t know you but I registered to send you a message of hope. I know it’s hard times right now and sometimes it’s difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just wanted to let you know that there is always light, no matter how small and no matter how long the tunnel is, the light is there. Please don’t give up and jus give it another go when you wake up in the morning. Please know that people every are thinking of you you and keeping you in their thoughts, rooting for you to continue because the rainbow always shines after a storm. Also I want you to remember the season we are in, it’s a time of flowers booming and springing up on fields, trees budding and bunnies hoping (at least in some places) and of course a bit of chocolate won’t hurt either. Easter is a reminder of hope, of why we should continue even in times that seem most difficult. I am a believer in a very old story of a man (Jesus)who loves the world so much he came to give hope to the world and he did that at Easter. And this hope is passed on through generations and continues today. I bring that same hope to you today and reassure you that it will all be alright and things do get better.

Know that you have people who are thinking about you and I hope you get all the support you need in this time 🤗

Queeniz, wish I had a magic wand to make this better for you. It is the worst feeling in the world for anyone.. you hate when you get this feeling cos you wish you wouldn't wake up in the morning. ......but, underneath your deep sadness and frustration there is a very strong individual. You have felt like this before, and you know it will pass and you will without question find the strength to move forward.

Rest well for now, take one minute, one day , one week at a time and discuss all this with your doctor. This illlness is like a roller coaster and it take time, it knocks us down so hard but slowly, ever so slowly you will see light at the end of the tunnel. Sending you a big tight cuddle xx

So sorry you are having a difficult time. From reading your other posts and tags I see you are Hypothyroid. I really hope you are being well treated and your levels are optimal.

T3 is the ACTIVE Thyroid hormone needed in every cell of your body. The brain has the the biggest demand - so if your levels are low then there will not be enough to nourish your brain and your gut - heart - liver - kidneys ...

Are you on Thyroid medication ? Some of your other meds could interfere with thyroid meds - making them less effective.

I have Hashimotos and a B12 issue caused by surgery. Happy to help ..🌻

Your joking!!! I only found out last summer that I have this & only cos I saw a different GP & asked “how are you?”..... I said “not good”

He said “I’m not surprised with all you have”!!

Then he told me & told me that 4yrs before my old GP put I refused treatment ... which is a lie.

So I went 5yrs untreated great

I haven’t read any replies but I’ve suffered severe depression since 21 now 44, been suicidal many times over the years....but there’s a way out of all this.

I would like to know in what way you feel sick to help you.

I know how difficult it is and nobody understands you including family members.

Leave me a reply and I’ll get back to you later.

You have put into words how I felt 3 years ago but you can get to a place where you see that things are improving , it's a long slow process for some of us but try to think of each stage as a step towards getting some improvement. As well as your need for B12 look at your diet and see if anything in that makes a difference to how you feel also if exercise seems to knock you out just do what you can when you can and dont feel bad about what you can't do. I still feel its one step forward two steps back at times but I try to cope with each day as it comes and make the most of the small steps. Lots of lovely people on here with good advice to talk to and I think most of us have been in a dark tunnel at some point in our illness.

I wish you lots of hugs and best wishes and hope you start to feel a little better soon, you will get there but it does take time :)
