Feeling like s--t!! Bad heartburn, no energy etc.

Good Evening everyone, haven't been on here for a while. 😐 my health has gone downhill but on a positive my granddaughter was born on my birthday , little Kaydee is 5 weeks old now. 🎉🍼.

I went to see an eye specialist about my haemorrhage behind my left eye and next week, I'm seeing someone in the retina clinic. My eye at the moment is sore and now and again goes red.

My b12 injection is due thank goodness as my energy levels have been zapped and I'm feeling awful.

I'm being tested for celiac disease tomorrow as the doc thinks that what my stomach cramps are. I've very bad heartburn at the moment and bent over double with the pain. It's worse if I eat bread etc. The doc reckons its associated with my b12 deficiency as my body can't absolute what it needs.

Does anyone else have this problem??? also I'm already on folic acid tablets. ☺☺

You may have too low a stomach acid. The heartburn symptom is the same as too much acid.

Try drinking diluted vinegar or orange juice to see if the heart burn settles down.

I tested negative for coeliacs ( about 11 years ago) but eating anything with gluten in it gives me heartburn. Bread and any type of cake is the worst. I think the gluten intolerance also has caused malabsorption, leading to the B12 deficiency. I'm looking into the possibility of having my stomach acid tested but not sure how that can be done.

Even if your coeliac test shows negative, try giving up all gluten and see if that helps you.
