Where abouts are you? We are thinking Billericay or Rayleigh... Although I had thought about Chelmsford too... 😊

see below but even if I only meet one at a time, it's not a problem I realise different schedule's and places suit others... So even if I can't make it let's get together with others... A coffee out costs nothing really, does it... And we have something in common to start with 😊

I'm from Suffolk - I'm keen to come!

Would you consider opening the invitation to people on the Facebook support group too? I think there are a few in Essex and Suffolk.

Great idea! Denise

Yes, seems a long way to come but of course... I was just thinking that as not all people can get to the conferences it would be nice to meet in a pub or cafe if smaller groups and have a coffee or lunch.. We don't have or maybe need info groups, but we could put a face to a name and have a chat... Maybe make good friends 😊 I could meet when off and do Lakeside some time..

Sounds good! I went to Lakeside when they were building it and to IKEA about 10 years ago so that'll be interesting too. πŸ™‚

Hi Scorpiojo. What a brilliant idea. To far for me but I hope you all have a brilliant time.

It would be really nice to convert some of my stranger friends to the real thing!

Enjoy πŸ˜€

well, if people can't get to the conferences I think an informal coffee to put faces to names would be lovely.. Put a post up for where you are 😊

For members of the society, there are also support groups, and more coming: pernicious-anaemia-society....

If there is not one in your area please consider forming one :D

Interesting I will look as a structured one would be ok... But from what I was told none in Essex... I wouldn't know enough about pa to run one but I would consider helping someone who did 😊

You don't have to know a lot about PA to run one :) Just give the office a call and they'll tell you what is needed and maybe someone else is already interested in Essex but also wants to do it together?

Hello PAS Admin....while you're here, can I just ask you...any idea what's happening with the Leicestershire support group? I've emailed twice over the past few months and also put up a post....but no response 😒😒.

Any idea if the group is still running?

Thanks

The coordinator was unavailable for a while due to private circumstances. He should be up and running again now, so please try again. If you receive no answer, you could call the office for information. I am not up to date on the support groups (not my field of expertise ;) )

If I could manage to drive more than 30 miles then I'd pop in on a visit to my Mum's. But I can't - trains only for the moment.

Where are you Fbirder?

I'm way down on the south coast. Takes almost three hours to get to my mum's - and that's when Southern trains are running on time (every third Wednesday of the month).

Awww shame... I think we'd have some fun with you in the group 😊

I would be interested as I am in Essex. I have tried to access the Facebook site several times with no success

What fb site? That's great... ATM it looks like a Lakeside meet and a possible one at Rayleigh or Southend.. Do people want to inbox me what days of the week and dates are best and then I can go with the date Most can make it and where and then arrange others.. I intend asking if there's a formal group too, but I couldn't see anything... 😊
